Today we pray for the Gafcon West Africa Region, remembering in our prayers the Regional Secretary, The Rt Revd Henry Okeke, Bishop of Ideato in the Church of Nigeria (Anglican Communion).
This region includes countries such as Nigeria, Ghana, Sierra Leone, Liberia, and Senegal, and is home to over 25 million Anglicans within a rapidly growing population of more than 400 million people. The Church here is marked by vibrant worship, deep commitment to Scripture, and strong evangelistic witness.
Key Gafcon-aligned churches include the Church of Nigeria, alongside partnerships across the region and the recognised Gafcon Ghana branch. We thank God for faithful leadership and gospel fruitfulness, and we pray for wisdom, integrity, and endurance. May Christ continue to build his Church in West Africa for the glory of his name.
