Prayer Update:

Visit to Kenya by ACNA Archbishop Steve Wood

Written:

Earlier this month the Primate of the Anglican Church in North America (ACNA) Archbishop Steve Wood traveled with a small delegation of bishops to teach and minister alongside their Anglican brothers in Kenya and engage in outreach and evangelism within new communities.

During this visit, Archbishop Wood witnessed the growing, Christ-centered mission among the Samburu people and had the opportunity to confirm new believers and preach in several “tree churches,” where congregations gather under acacia trees in place of formal buildings.

He also joined the bishops of the Church of Kenya for a retreat in Maralal during the second week of his visit, under the leadership of the Primate of Kenya, Archbishop Jackson Ole Sapit.

Give thanks to God for the rich fellowship between the ACNA and the Anglican Church of Kenya, as together these Gafcon provinces minister across the globe, bringing renewal across borders, and forming relationships rooted in prayer, mission and mutual discipleship.
