Prayer Update:

Uniting Afresh in Prayer

We give heartfelt thanks to God for your continual prayers as Gafcon has grown from a conference into a movement and now leads the historic Anglican Communion in its reordering from within as the Global Anglican Communion.

Today, as we unite afresh in prayer, we invite Global Anglicans around the world to join us in praying this contemporary adaptation from Thomas Cranmer’s Litany, found in the 1662 Book of Common Prayer:

O God, merciful Father, who does not despise the sighing of a contrite heart or the desires of those who are sorrowful: mercifully assist the prayers we make before you in all our troubles and adversities, whenever they oppress us.

Graciously hear us, and bring to nothing those evils which the craft and subtlety of the devil or human sin may work against us. By the providence of your goodness, disperse them, so that we, your servants, protected amid all persecution, may evermore give thanks to you in your holy Church; through Jesus Christ our Lord. Amen.
