Please pray for the Diocese of Ogoja in the Church of Nigeria (Anglican Communion), where its diocesan bishop, the Rt Revd Ifeanyi Akunna, recently gathered 50 people to learn to write songs of worship from Scripture in the Ukelle language.
Give thanks for United Adoration (UA), which has served alongside Gafcon in past years, equipping churches to develop biblically faithful worship in local languages and cultures. Joining by Zoom, UA leaders laid a theological foundation for creativity and led a Scripture-based songwriting process. Although none of the 50 participants had ever written a song before, each produced their first song.
Please pray as UA continues the training and participants take it into their communities, generating missional resources through faithful, Scripture-rich songs that help people praise Jesus in their own language.
