The bishops of the Gafcon-established Anglican Network in Europe (ANiE) have released a statement about this week’s decision by the United Kingdom parliament to permit the killing of babies in the womb without restriction or time limit, and the permission given to health professionals to end the lives of adults in certain circumstances.
They note that many established church leaders with government influence have hesitated to summon for public prayer in these dark and uncertain times, and have failed to call the godless rulers to repentance and faith in Christ.
So, our Gafcon bishops in the ANiE urge faithful believers everywhere to lament this failure by the UK Government to protect the most-vulnerable in society.
Our ANiE Gafcon bishops call each of us to repent of our personal and corporate sin, seeking the Lord’s mercy on the nations affected by similar, evil decisions, and they compel us to urgently proclaim the life-affirming and saving gospel of Jesus in the face of the culture of death.
