As we look ahead to 2027, let us give thanks to God with our brothers and sisters in the Church of Uganda. We thank God for Archbishop Stephen Samuel Kaziimba Mugalu and for the newly announced theme, "Focused Leadership and Integrity in Service" (1 Corinthians 4:1–2). We also rejoice as the Church prepares to celebrate 150 years of Christianity in Uganda.
Please pray for the seven bishops who will retire during 2027, giving thanks for their faithful ministry. Ask the Lord to raise up a new generation of godly bishops who will lead with biblical conviction, humble hearts and integrity in service.
Pray especially for the election of the 10th Archbishop of the Church of Uganda, together with the new Bishop of the Diocese from which the Archbishop will come. May God guide every decision, strengthen his Church, and continue to use Uganda as a faithful witness to Christ across Africa and throughout the world.
