We thank God for the recent Gafcon Theological Educators Network seminar held at the end of August. Over 20 participants from five continents gathered online to reflect on the teaching of the Bible in our colleges. We are especially grateful for the presence of The Rt Revd Dr Peter Jensen, Director of the Network, coordinated by The Revd Canon Dr Bill Salier.
Together, educators explored how to help students read Scripture faithfully in its literary and historical context. They discussed the role of Biblical languages, the value of surveys, whole-book studies, and deep dives into passages—all with a focus on lives transformed by God’s Word.
Please pray that teachers will model humble submission to Scripture, and that students will be equipped to rightly handle the Word of truth (2 Timothy 2:15).
