The Abuja Affirmation announced an important development during the Gafcon Global G26 Conference: the establishment of the Global Anglican Council to help provide conciliar leadership for the Global Anglican Communion.
We give thanks for the willingness of leaders to share responsibility in guiding this growing fellowship of faithful Anglicans.
Please pray for the members of the Global Anglican Council and for all those entrusted with leadership in the Communion. Ask the Lord to grant them wisdom, unity, humility, and courage as they serve the Church. Pray that their leadership will help guard the gospel, strengthen the churches, and encourage faithful mission across every region of the world.
