We pray for The Diocese of EKKIOS, a pioneering missional church formed in 2023. EKKIOS draws its identity from two ancient Greek words: Ekklessia (the Church) and Kyrios (Lord). Together, these two words reflect the mission and vision of the Diocese—a community called by Jesus, gathered under His Lordship, and sent out into world as faithful witnesses.
Led by The Right Reverend Dr. Yassir Eric, who was commissioned by the Gafcon Primates Council in 2023 and consecrated in 2024 to begin forming a church home specifically serving Muslim-background believers (MBB’s), The Diocese of EKKIOS serves multiple linguistic and cultural communities around the world. Through its partnership with Gafcon, The Diocese of EKKIOS seeks to offer MBB’s a church home with apostolic grounding, theological depth, historical continuity, and global partnership in the mission of the Gospel.
As a province in formation, The Diocese of EKKIOS exists to support MBB’s through pastoral care, contextualised discipleship, leadership formation, and genuine accountability. Their goal is not just to speed the Gospel, but to see it become deeply rooted, grow, and illuminate every dark heart.
