Prayer Update:

The Anglican Network in Europe (ANiE)

We pray for The Anglican Network in Europe (ANiE), which was originally recognised in 2013 by Gafcon as an authentic expression of Anglican church life and mission. In 2017, Gafcon appointed The Rt. Rev’d Andy Lines as Missionary Bishop for Europe. His immediate task was to provide episcopal oversight for churches which had left the Scottish Episcopal Church after the change to the canons on marriage, and any other fellowships seeking that oversight.

In 2020, the Gafcon Primates authorised a new Anglican structure called the Anglican Network in Europe (ANiE). It unites three dioceses, the Anglican Mission in England (AMiE), the Anglican Convocation in Europe (ACE), and the Anglican Missionary Congregations (AMC), with a total of around 100 congregations.

At its founding, Andy Lines was appointed its first Presiding Bishop in 2020 and continues in that role, providing episcopal oversight to all three dioceses. Under his leadership, ANiE welcomed AMC as its third diocese last year, reflecting dynamic growth and cross-cultural outreach, especially via Nigerian diaspora congregations. The network remains steadfast in proclaiming biblical truth, planting churches, and fostering unity among faithful Anglicans across Europe.
