We pray for The Anglican Church of the Congo (Province de l’Église anglicane du Congo, PACC), which spans the Democratic Republic of the Congo and neighbouring Republic of the Congo. It traces its origins to missionary work by Apollo Kivebulaya in 1896 under the Church of Uganda, and became an independent province in 1992 with five dioceses.
Today, PACC comprises 15 dioceses, including Boga-Zaire, Kinshasa, and Aru, and serves around half a million Anglicans. Headquartered in Kinshasa, the province prioritises evangelism, theological training, peace-building, social development, healthcare, and reconciliation amid ongoing conflict in the eastern regions .
Since 2022, the Primate and Archbishop has been The Most Rev’d Georges Titre Ande, also Bishop of Aru. Under his leadership, PACC remains firmly committed to orthodox Anglican doctrine, evangelism, and societal transformation in a nation deeply-affected by conflict.
