We give thanks to God for the faithful ministry celebrated in Egypt, as The Most Revd Dr Sami Fouzi Shehata, President of the Alexandria Region of the Anglican Episcopal Church and a member of the Gafcon Primates’ Council, presided at the Sudanese Service at the Cathedral of All Saints, Zamalek.
We praise God for the licensing of priests, the authorisation of Sudanese lay servants, and the prayerful confirmation of 60 new members into the Episcopal Church.
In his sermon from Luke’s Gospel, Archbishop Sami reflected on Zechariah’s story, reminding the Church that God’s silence is not absence, but His perfect timing. We thank God that this ministry bears witness to the same gospel faith shared by confessing Anglicans around the world—gathered around God’s Word, committed to prayer, and trusting the Lord who remembers, visits, and redeems His people, to the glory of God.
