Please give thanks to God for the appointment of The Venerable Dr Stephen Carnaby as the 12th Bishop of Bathurst, New South Wales, Australia.
Archdeacon Stephen has been a strong supporter of Gafcon, serving on the Gafcon Australia Board and chairing the committee organising the Gafcon Australia & New Zealand Conference this November. Give thanks for the Gafcon Australia branch, led by the Revd Peter Smith, as it encourages and strengthens faithful Anglicans across Australia.
Give thanks also for the faithful and fruitful ministry of Bishop Mark Calder, who has just retired from the Diocese of Bathurst, and praise God for the growing commitment to biblical orthodoxy within the Anglican Church of Australia.
Please pray for Archdeacon Stephen and Joanne as they prepare for this new ministry, that he will faithfully proclaim Christ and shepherd God’s people.
