Prayer Update:

Paul Benjamin Yugusuk new Dean of Province of South Sudan

Today we give thanks to Almighty God for news from the Episcopal Church of South Sudan, as The Most Revd Dr Paul Benjamin Yugusuk, Archbishop of the Central Equatoria Internal Province, has been declared Dean of the Province. This office is the second-most senior leadership role in the Province, serving alongside and in support of the Primate in the life, unity, and governance of the Church.

The declaration was made by The Most Revd Dr Justin Badi Arama, Archbishop and Primate of the Episcopal Church of South Sudan and a member of the Gafcon Primates’ Council. We give thanks for his leadership and for the ongoing witness of the Church in South Sudan.

We also give thanks for the faithful service of The Most Revd Alaphayo Manyang Kutel, who concluded his ministry as Dean upon his retirement. Please join us in praying for Archbishop Yugusuk, that the Lord would grant him wisdom, humility, strength, and grace as he serves God’s people and advances the gospel.
