Please give thanks to God for the historic Christian faith, faithfully confessed by his Church through the centuries. The third article of the Jerusalem Declaration upholds the four Ecumenical Councils and the three historic Creeds as expressing the rule of faith of the one holy catholic and apostolic Church.
Praise God that our faith is not something newly invented, but is shared with generations of Christians who have gone before us. Give thanks for those who faithfully defended and clearly expressed the truth about God—Father, Son and Holy Spirit—and about the person and saving work of Jesus Christ.
Please pray that throughout the Global Anglican Communion we will remain firmly grounded in this historic Christian faith, faithfully confessing and passing it on to generations to come.
