Today we give thanks to Almighty God for the gathering of the bishops and wives of the Church of Nigeria, meeting together this week in Lagos for their Bishops and Wives Retreat. We praise God for the faithful leadership of The Most Revd Dr Henry Chukwudum Ndukuba, Primate of All Nigeria (Anglican Communion), and for his clear call to spiritual renewal, biblical orthodoxy, and humble dependence on the Lord.
We thank God for bishops and their wives gathering in unity as shepherds and partners in ministry, setting aside administration to be with God, to pray, repent, and be renewed. May this time bear lasting fruit in holiness, courage, and gospel faithfulness.
We also give thanks that this retreat is part of the spiritual preparation for the Gafcon G26 Bishops Conference, to be held in Abuja, Nigeria, from 3–6 March, entrusting all plans and leadership to the Lord who builds his Church.
