We give thanks to God for Sunday’s joyful gathering at the Catedral Anglicana do Espírito Santo (PAES – Paróquia Anglicana Espírito Santo) for the installation of the Very Revd Gabriel Moreira Uchoa Cavalcanti as Dean of the Cathedral.
We praise God for leaders from across the Global Anglican Communion, including members of the Global Anglican Council, who gathered in Recife under the leadership of the Most Revd Dr Laurent Mbanda, Archbishop and Primate of Rwanda and Chairman, together with the Most Revd Dr Miguel Uchoa Cavalcanti, Archbishop and Primate of Brazil and Vice Chairman.
Please pray for the important decisions made by the Global Anglican Council during its meetings in Recife, and for Dean Gabriel as he begins this ministry. May the Lord strengthen him to guard God’s gospel, faithfully serve Christ’s people, and glorify his name.
