We give thanks to God for the Church of Nigeria (Anglican Communion), where on Tuesday, 16 September, at the time of the Standing Committee meeting hosted by the Diocese of Ekiti, two new bishops were consecrated and two archbishops were presented.
The Ven. Dr Samuel Adekunle Ola Osungbeju (Osun North-East) and the Very Revd Dr Adebola Ayodeji Ojofeitimi (Ilesa South-West) were set apart for gospel ministry. At the same service, the Most Revd Dr Cyril Odutemu (Bendel Province) and the Most Revd Marcus Ibrahim (Jos Province) were presented following their re-election as Archbishops.
We rejoice that this historic moment strengthened the witness of Anglican churches across Nigeria and beyond, helping guard the truth of God’s word, grow orthodox leaders, and proclaim Christ faithfully to the nations.
