Prayer Update:

Mozambique Flooding

Today we call the Gafcon family to prayer for our Anglican brothers and sisters and the wider communities of Mozambique, facing severe flooding after prolonged heavy rainfall. More than 620,000 people have been affected and tens of thousands of homes inundated, with families displaced and livelihoods swept away.

Pray that the Lord, who rules the winds and the waters, would show mercy to those who are vulnerable. Ask for protection for those sheltering in temporary accommodation, for the sick and injured as hospitals and clinics are strained, and for restraint in the weather as dams have reached capacity and further rain is forecast.

Pray especially for the local Church, that it may faithfully proclaim God’s gospel while extending Christ-like compassion in word and deed. May Anglican leaders, clergy, and lay workers be strengthened to serve with courage, wisdom, and hope, bearing witness to Christ in the midst of suffering.
