On this Christmas Day, we rejoice in the glorious truth that the Word became flesh and dwelt among us. Born in humility and laid in a manger, Jesus Christ entered our world not because space was made for him, but because God, in mercy, came to us. As Archbishop Laurent Mbanda, Chairman of the Gafcon Primates Council, has reminded us, Christmas proclaims that closed doors cannot hinder God’s purposes, and rejection cannot silence his kingdom.
Today we pray for the global Anglican family, giving thanks for all who faithfully make room for Jesus—often at great personal cost. Strengthen your Church, O Lord, to guard your gospel, to obey your Word, and to walk in courage and hope.
On this holy day, may Christ be welcomed anew in every heart and home. Even so, come, Lord Jesus.
