Please pray for The Most Rev Dr Laurent Mbanda, Archbishop and Primate of the Anglican Church of Rwanda and Chairman of the Global Anglican Communion, as he prepares to retire as Archbishop on 25 October.
In these final weeks, Archbishop Mbanda is visiting dioceses across Rwanda to farewell and encourage God’s people. During his visit to the Diocese of Butare on 20 September, where he previously served as Caretaker, he reflected on John 15, reminding Christians that faithful service depends upon remaining connected to Jesus Christ, the true vine.
Give thanks to God for the faithful ministry of Archbishop Mbanda and his wife, Chantal, and for their many years of service together. As they enter this new season, please pray for them, remembering Archbishop Mbanda’s words: “Serving God continues.”
