Please pray for the Anglican Church of Australia as its General Synod meets this week in Melbourne, bringing together representatives from all 23 dioceses. Pray for the Primate, The Rt Revd Dr Mark Short, as he leads the Synod, asking that all its deliberations would be shaped by careful listening to the Scriptures.
Give thanks for faithful Anglicans across Australia who seek to keep the Bible at the heart of the Church. Pray that the Synod will make good and godly decisions that strengthen faithful and effective gospel ministry.
Please also pray for Gafcon Australia, giving thanks for its ministry of fellowship and support to authentic Anglicans who remain within dioceses under leaders who fail to hold to the Bible’s teaching on life and salvation.
