Please join us in giving thanks to God for the Church of Nigeria (Anglican Communion), where four new bishops have been elected following the Episcopal Synod led by the Primate, the Most Revd Henry Chukwudum Ndukuba, member of the Global Anglican Council.
Give thanks for the election of Ven. Dr Godwin Tersoo Simon Yakela (Makurdi Diocese), Ven. Dr Kingsley Ogbonda (Uyo Diocese), Ven. Dr Julius Oyediran (Ekiti Oke Diocese), and Ven. Dr Olayemi Fatusi (Awori Diocese), as they prepare for their consecration this September.
Pray that these bishops-elect will be filled with wisdom, humility, courage, and steadfast faith as they take up the calling of shepherding God's people. Ask the Lord to strengthen them to preach His Word faithfully, lead with integrity, care for those under their oversight, and encourage the Church in its mission of proclaiming Christ.
Please also pray for the Church of Nigeria, that God will continue to raise up faithful gospel leaders, strengthen its witness across Nigeria and beyond, and use its ministry to bring many people to saving faith in the Lord Jesus Christ.
