Prayer Update:

Election of New Australian Primate

We give thanks to God for the election of the Rt Revd Mark Short as the next Primate of the Anglican Church of Australia.

Bishop Mark is the first evangelical Primate in Australia since 1982, and we pray that the Lord will grant him great wisdom and courage as he serves in this important role that seeks to lead Australian Anglicans to truly honour Jesus by embracing his living word, the Bible.

He trained for ministry at Moore Theological College, and prior to becoming Bishop of Canberra and Goulburn in 2019, he was National Director of the Bush Church Aid Society. He is an Australian Vice President of EFAC, the Evangelical Fellowship in the Anglican Communion.

Please pray for Bishop Mark, and his wife Monica, as he prepares to commence this new role in November, alongside his continuing role as Bishop of the Diocese of Canberra and Goulburn. May he bring unity in the truth, and serve as a faithful servant of Christ’s church with courage, grace and wisdom.
