Today we pray for the Gafcon East Africa Region, remembering the Regional Secretary, The Rt Revd Onesimus Asiimwe, Bishop of North Kigezi in the Church of Uganda.
East Africa includes Uganda, Kenya, Rwanda, Tanzania, South Sudan, and neighbouring nations. It is home to tens of millions of Anglicans within a population exceeding 400 million people, with churches marked by faithful preaching, growing discipleship, and theological depth.
Key Gafcon-aligned provinces include the Church of Uganda, the Anglican Church of Kenya, the Anglican Church of Rwanda, the Episcopal Church of South Sudan, and the Anglican Church of the Congo, together with the recognised Gafcon Tanzania branch. We pray for peace, perseverance, and godly leadership, and for continued faithfulness to God’s Word across the region.
