Please give thanks to God for the recent Conference and Synod of the Anglican Diocese of Europe, part of the Global Anglican Communion. Established through Gafcon as the Anglican Convocation in Europe, it continues to provide a home for faithful Anglican witness across the continent. Praise God for growth in congregations, clergy and public preachers, and for his generous financial provision.
Give thanks for faithful teaching from Bishop Stuart Bell on Hebrews and the finished work of Christ, and for Andrew Fellows equipping delegates to understand our culture and share the better story we have in Jesus. Praise God for the leadership of the Rt Revd Andy Lines, Presiding Bishop of the Anglican Network in Europe and member of the Global Anglican Council, and for his encouragement towards greater theological depth.
Please pray for continued gospel growth across Europe, deeper theological maturity and strong partnership between churches. Give thanks for the conference team, especially Chai, and for a fruitful Synod which adopted important new canons and the working title “Anglican Diocese of Europe.”
