Pray for the people of Chile as destructive forest fires have spread into built-up areas, ravaging more than 45,000 hectares and leaving many communities devastated. Give thanks that the Lord is sovereign, and ask that his mercy and protection would be evident for those still facing danger and uncertainty.
Pray for the Diocese of Santiago and for the Anglican churches in Concepción, where a number of families have lost everything. Ask that the Church would be a place of refuge, compassion, and practical help for those in need.
Pray for The Most Revd Enrique Lago Zugadi, Archbishop of the Anglican Church of Chile, as he oversees a team of bishops who in turn lead and support local clergy and congregations. Ask that God would grant wisdom, strength, and grace as the Gafcon movement seeks to generate missional resources that bring practical care and proclaim the hope of Christ in this time of suffering.
