Give thanks to God for the opportunity for The Most Revd Dr Miguel Uchôa Cavalcanti, Archbishop and Primate of the Anglican Church in Brazil and Vice Chairman of the Global Anglican Council, to speak recently at the Conference on African Anglicanism in Oxford, England.
Archbishop Miguel presented a paper on the indigenisation of Anglicanism in Africa, sharing the Brazilian experience as an example of a contemporary and authentically local expression of faithful Anglicanism.
Please pray that the seeds planted through this conference will bear abundant fruit, strengthening relationships across the global Church and fostering new partnerships and Kingdom initiatives. Pray especially for faithful, contextual expressions of Anglicanism that are firmly grounded in God’s Word, proclaim Jesus Christ clearly, and equip generations to serve his mission in their own cultures and communities.
