In March next year, the future of our Global Anglican Communion will take tangible shape as bishops gather in Abuja, Nigeria, for the G26 Bishops Assembly.
Many of you have already received the recent appeal from Archbishop Laurent Mbanda, calling us to stand with bishops who long to be present at this historic moment.
As General Secretary, I am writing to you personally for your help.
I need your help to fund bursaries for bishops who require financial assistance in order to attend this vital gathering.
G26 is a summons for orthodox Anglican bishops from across the world to gather for counsel, unity, and shared conviction at a decisive moment in our common life.
For many bishops the greatest obstacle to answering this summons is not willingness, but cost.
The Church of Nigeria (Anglican Communion) has generously covered all conference-day costs, so there is no registration fee for any delegate.
Yet travel, visas, and accommodation remain beyond the reach of many faithful bishops.
Through the G26 Bursary Fund, your gift can help ensure that bishops from every region are able to take their place in this historic gathering.
