Dear Brothers and Sisters of Gafcon,
Grace and peace to you in the name of our Lord Jesus Christ!
On behalf of our Primates Council, it is my pleasure to announce that Gafcon is inviting all global orthodox bishops and their wives to gather in March 2026 in Abuja, Nigeria for the G26 Mini-Conference.
At such a time as this, I call on all global Anglican leaders to gather for prayer and fellowship as we seek the wisdom of our Lord about the future of his church.
The conference will be held from the 3rd to the 6th of March 2026, and will be generously hosted by our brothers and sisters in the Church of Nigeria (Anglican Communion).
Gafcon primates and senior leaders will assemble before the conference for preliminary meetings, plus we will invite some senior bishops to a special, one-day, pre-event.
I am also pleased to announce that we will be holding the ninth Bishop’s Training Institute (BTI-9) in Abuja from Saturday 28th February to Tuesday 3rd March 2026, immediately before G26.
Bishops should liaise with their Gafcon primate, presiding or diocesan bishop, branch chair, or regional secretary in order to assist us in the preparing of invitations.
The General Secretary will coordinate and distribute formal invitations to bishops and their wives, as well as offer special places to attend BTI-9 or the Senior Bishops pre-conference.
Further information will be emailed in the coming weeks.
We recognise that this event will come at a significant financial cost, and so we will be making a special appeal towards travel and conference expenses in due course.
Please pray that the Lord will gather his global Anglican overseers in great number for this important event, as Gafcon continues to lead the renewal of the Anglican Communion… at such a time as this.
